The hits keep coming with the pairing of DDB Design and Build and COS Design: Balaclava Road, Kooyong Road and now Garrell Street in the Caulfield North suburb of Melbourne. Minimalist point of views continues in a style reminiscent of the contemporary clean lines found stateside in the Silicon Valley. Crisp whites accented by natural wood and refreshing greenery make for a class technologically savvy aristocracy. From the very beginning our eyes take in the geometric shapes in rectangular form that is a reoccurring pattern throughout the front and back yards. A cool color scheme provides a fresh appeal that is enhanced by the Sun’s natural light. Row upon row of what is either black or red phormium alternate its claim to our walking space with the easy lawn. We can appreciate the embrace of nature throughout the landscaping design from the African mahogany wood trellis used for ecological shading to the beautiful Australian dragon palm tree. The chief desire of this space is to promote leisure. This is acutely seen past the clearing to the personal tennis courts on display.
